When a computer loads, Windows tries to access the registry to get the loading settings, but if the registry is corrupted, then the loading process halts and the following error screen I get a successful post "code FF" with my board and even the gleeful beep, but even the BIOS was being quirky. But to throw some light on *WHY* this is happening in the first place - I have seen the mention of faulty wires(!) and bad hard drives.
