I bought a new printer (for a very important document) but couldn't even install it without a service pack. Your question may be the same as this typical request: "I am trying to install Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) on my Dell laptop but it is not picking it up See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=10139 for details.Nice, just what I needed. Anyone know any solutions to this? 5/15/2009 02:28:00 PM despotismo said... http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-update/error-code-0x800f0826-when-installing-windows/2f034887-c30a-4e2d-9bb7-d07246d6b4ae

Here's what finally worked for me, as I just posted at the Dell forums:In services (as administrator), I right clicked on "Windows Modules Installer" and clicked on Properties. None of this worked for me, but I found the cause and a solution on another forum and I wanted to share it here for those with the same issue. I also had the problem of Windows Modules Installer reverting to manual.
